Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using VERDAT's image analysis API ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Description of Service
VERDAT provides an API for analyzing images for signs of artificial generation, digital manipulation, and metadata inconsistencies. The Service returns probabilistic confidence scores and supporting evidence.
Important Limitations
The Service provides decision support, not definitive verdicts. Image forensics is inherently probabilistic. Our confidence scores represent the likelihood of various manipulation types based on detected signals, but cannot guarantee certainty.
You are responsible for how you use analysis results in your decision-making processes. VERDAT is not liable for decisions made based on our analysis.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Submit images you do not have rights to analyze
- Attempt to reverse-engineer our detection models
- Exceed your rate limits or circumvent access controls
- Use the Service to develop competing products
API Keys and Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys. Notify us immediately if you believe your keys have been compromised.
Intellectual Property
VERDAT retains all rights to the Service, including our detection models, algorithms, and documentation. You retain ownership of images you submit and analysis results generated for your account.
Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VERDAT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
